It takes a team. See all our project partners below who have supported various JAMS projects throughout the years.
Division of Coastal Resources Management
To protect and enhance the CNMI’s coastal resources for residents and visitors through effective and adaptive resource management, interagency collaboration, and stakeholder engagement, in a manner that builds and sustains community resilience and well-being. DCRM encourages land-use master planning, floodplain management, and the development of zoning and building code legislation. Promote concepts of resource management, more efficient resource management, and improve coordination among Commonwealth Agencies and federal agencies.
Division of Fisheries and Wildlife
Our work is greatly supported and enhanced by our federal partners, especially the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Office of Law Enforcement, the NOAA Coral Reef Conservation Program’s Coral Reef Initiative, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service who provides funding and administrative support for the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program and other programs that are critical to our success. It was through the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program that were able to bring you this new website that is designed to assist and encourage you to make the most of the many fishing, hunting and outdoor recreational opportunities available to you here in our islands.
Micronesian Islands Nature Alliance
MINA is a community – based, nonprofit organization that was formed by a group of people whose dedication and compassion for the environment felt the need to promote and advocate for the protection and restoration of our natural resources in the Northern Mariana Islands.
The CNMI has a unique and beautiful natural heritage but these natural treasures are at risk of continued degradation. MINA believes that by fostering community watch and outreach efforts we can achieve our long-term goals for a sustainable future.
